Abstract

This paper examines the pervasive challenge of information overload faced by managers in today's data-rich environment and its implications for decision-making quality. It investigates how excessive information flow, coupled with cognitive biases, can lead to suboptimal choices, increased stress, and reduced productivity. The research combines a survey of managers across different industries with an experimental design to measure the effects of information overload on decision accuracy and confidence, proposing strategies for effective information filtering and cognitive load management.
