The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Facilitating tacit Knowledge Transfer within Organizations

Abstract

This research explores the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to overcome traditional barriers to tacit knowledge transfer within organizations. It investigates how AI-powered tools, such as natural language processing for conversation analysis, expert systems, and virtual reality simulations, can assist in identifying, codifying, and disseminating implicit knowledge that is typically difficult to articulate. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining a review of existing AI applications with a case study analysis of pilot implementations in knowledge-intensive organizations.
